FAQs

What do you need me to provide?

We will use your serving plates, glasses, silverware, napkins, etc. On the day of your event please ensure that all counters are clear and that the sink and dishwasher are empty. Most times I will hand wash everything. For small dinner parties the dishwasher is loaded.

What do you bring?

Chef A will bring all the food, whatever equipment is necessary to prepare your meals, mask, gloves, disinfectant, dish soap and a scrubbing brush.

Can I request a dish that isn’t listed?

Yes. Chef Ariel is able to accommodate most requests. Just ask on the contact page.

Are there any additional fees the day of my event?

Absolutely not. We believe in transparency here at The Platinum Private Chef. So whatever number is quoted on your invoice plus groceries is the final amount. However, tips are always accepted and appreciated.

How does the grocery bill work?

You will be sent a quote with a grocery estimate typically about $25-$50 above what the total will be thought to be to ensure the entirety of all food is completely covered. Once the shopping is complete, Chef A will email/text you all copies of the receipt(s). If there is a remaining balance, you will be reimbursed promptly upon meeting at your scheduled event time.

Do you offer cooking classes?

Not at this time. However, kids birthday cooking parties are in the works. Stay tuned!

How long does it take?

Full dinner service from start to finish can take anywhere between about 3-6 hours. Chef Ariel arrives at your home 3-4 hours before start time. Cocktail parties are typically based on a 4 hour event with necessary clean up and set up times.
~In certain instances these times may vary based upon number of courses and amount of people.

Who sets the table?

In most cases, the room is decorated and table is already set when we arrive.
